The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 12,983 after another 23 people have recovered from the illness.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 23 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 12,983 with another 499 people still in treatment.
In the same time frame, 13 people have tested positive including 7 people in Male' area. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.
So far, there have been 48 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 41 locals, six Bangladeshi nationals and a man from Philippines.
