The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 12,960 after another 31 people have recovered from the illness.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 31 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 12,960 with another 509 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 23 people have tested positive including 14 people in Male' area. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.

So far, there have been 48 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 41 locals, six Bangladeshi nationals and a man from Philippines.
