The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 12,264 after another 65 people have recovered from the illness.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 65 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 12,264 with another 841 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 16 people have tested positive including 9 people in Male' area, 5 from the atolls, and 2 from the resorts. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.

So far, there have been 47 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 40 locals, six Bangladeshi nationals and a man from Philippines.
