After another 21 people test positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 13,070.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 21 people have tested positive including 20 in Male' area and 01 in operational resorts.

In the same time frame, 33 people recovered from COVID-19, totaling the number of recoveries in the country 12,001 with another 1,015 people still in treatment.

So far, there have been 47 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 40 locals, seven Bangladeshi nationals and a man from Philippines.
