Another person has passed away in the Maldives due to COVID-19 related complications raising the total COVID-deaths in the country to 47.

One Online has conformed that the deceased was a 75-year-old man that was being treated at the Hulhumale’ Medical Facility.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that a 75-year-old local man passed away due to COVID-19 complications this morning at 7:49 a.m.

And so, the total number of COVID deaths in the country currently at 40 locals and seven foreigners that include nationals from Bangladeshi and Philippines.

The first reported COVID-19 death in the country was on 29 April 2020 after an 83-year-old woman passed away.

Currently, a total of 13.011 people have tested positive while 11,939 people have recovered with 1,019 people still being treated.
