After another 158 people test positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 12,758.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 158 people have tested positive including 58 locals and 92 foreigners.

In the same time frame, 16 people recovered from COVID-19, totaling the number of recoveries in the country 11,615 with another 1,090 people still in treatment.

So far, there have been 46 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 39 locals, seven Bangladeshi nationals and a man from Philippines.
