The total number of COVID-19 recoveries have risen to 11,599 after another 40 people recovers from the illness in the Maldives.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 40 people recovered from COVID-19, totaling the number of recoveries in the country 11,599 with another 956 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 30 people have tested positive including 22 locals and 08 foreigners.

So far, there have been 46 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 39 locals, seven Bangladeshi nationals and a man from Philippines.
