After another 41 people test positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 12,355.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 41 people have tested positive including 30 locals and 11 foreigners.

In the same time frame, 72 people recovered from COVID-19, totaling the number of recoveries in the country 11,388 with another 915 people still in treatment.

So far, there have been 45 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 38 locals, seven Bangladeshi nationals and a man from Philippines.
