A Safe Travel Bubble have been established between the Maldives and Qatar for the first time in history.

Qatar also added the Maldives on 22 October to their list of countries safe to travel to during the COVID-19 pandemic after the Maldives received the Safe Travel stamp from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).

The National Airline of Qatar, Qatar Airways said that holiday packages are designed for their citizens and others living in the country. Under this package, bookings can be made until 24 December and travel between 1 December 2020 and 7 January 2021.

Special accommodations have been allocated for those traveling under the pack at Diamonds Thudufushi Beach & Water Villas and Sandies Bathala Resort.

According to the website of Qatar Airways, the Flight and Hotel packages start at QR 5,460 (USD 1,499) which requires at least five days in the Maldives.

Those booking flight and hotels in the Maldives through Qatar Airways are not required to isolate and quarantine upon their return to Doha.
