After another 110 people test positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 12,314.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 110 people have tested positive including 31 locals and 79 foreigners.

In the same time frame, 27 people recovered from COVID-19, totaling the number of recoveries in the country 11,316 with another 947 people still in treatment.

So far, there have been 43 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 35 locals, seven Bangladeshi nationals and a man from Philippines.
