After another 42 people test positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 12,154.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 42 people have tested positive including 28 locals and 14 foreigners.
In the same time frame, 18 people recovered from COVID-19, totaling the number of recoveries in the country 11,262 with another 843 people still in treatment.
So far, there have been 42 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 34 locals, seven Bangladeshi nationals and a man from Philippines.
