After another 39 people test positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 11,932.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 39 people have tested positive including 20 locals and 19 foreigners.

In the same time frame, 31 people recovered from COVID-19, totaling the number of recoveries in the country 11,041 with another 845 people still in treatment.

Statistics from the HPA show 212 people in Isolation Facilities and 54 people being treated at hospitals.

So far, there have been 39 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 33 locals, five Bangladeshi nationals and a man from Philippines.
