After another 36 people test positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives in the past 24 hours, the total number of cases in the country has risen to 11,737.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 36 people have tested positive including 21 locals and 15 foreigners.

In the same time frame, another 33 people recovered from COVID-19, the total recoveries in the country has reached 10,916 with another 776 people in treatment.

So far, there have been 38 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 32 locals, five Bangladeshi nationals and a Philippine national.
