COVID-19 cases have been reported from the Marshall Islands for the first time.
The island nation in the Pacific has been on the list of COVID-free countries. The first case of COIVD was have been reported after two people who traveled in from Hawaii to an American Center tested positive.
As a precautionary measure against the pandemic, Marshall Islands have had their borders closed since March.
Officials have said that the two people who tested positive have been isolated and poses no threat to the general public.
