After another 24 people tests positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives in the past 24 hours, the total number of cases in the country has risen to 11,178.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 24 people have tested positive including 20 locals and 4 foreigners.

In the same time frame, another 102 people recovered from COVID-19, the total recoveries in the country has reached 10,097 with another 1,138 people in treatment.

So far, there have been 36 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 30 locals, five Bangladeshi nationals and a Philippine national.
