After another 51 people tests positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives in the past 24 hours, the total number of cases in the country has risen to 11,113.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 51 people have tested positive including 33 locals and 18 foreigners.
In the same time frame, another 51 people recovered from COVID-19, the total recoveries in the country has reached 9,931 with another 1,140 people in treatment.
Statistics show that there are 400 people in treatment at isolation facilities while 54 people are being treated at hospitals.
So far, there have been 35 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 29 locals, five Bangladeshi nationals and a Philippine national.
