After another 66 people tests positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives in the past 24 hours, the total number of cases in the country has risen to 10,808.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 66 people have tested positive including 54 locals and 12 foreigners.

In the same time frame, another 65 people recovered from COVID-19, the total recoveries in the country has reached 9,654 with another 1,113 people in treatment.

Statistics show that there are 369 people in treatment at isolation facilities while 74 people are being treated at hospitals.

So far, there have been 34 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 28 locals, five Bangladeshi nationals and a Philippine national.
