97 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 10,291.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed an additional 97 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives. These include 42 locals and 55 foreigners.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 10,291.

They added that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 71, which brings the total number of recoveries to 9,108. With this, the total number of active cases is now 1,142.

There are 34 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are six foreigners and 28 Maldivians.
