The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives have risen to 10,014 after another 75 people tested positive in the past 24 hours.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 53 locals have tested positive along with 22 foreign nationals.
The past 24 hours also recorded 76 recoveries as well raising the total number of recovered patients to 8,673. There are 1,300 people still being treatment for COVID-119 in the Maldives. Statistics from the HPA show that there are 796 people in isolation facilities and 82 people in hospitals.
COVID-19 in the Maldives has seen 34 fatalities so far including 28 locals, five Bangladeshi nationals and a man from Philippines.
