The total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives had risen to 8597 after 67 more people recovered from the illness in the past 24 hours.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 67 which brings the total number of recoveries to 8597. With this, the total number of active cases is now 1,301.
The agency also confirmed and additional 54 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives. These include 30 locals and 24 foreigners.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 9,939.
There are 34 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are six foreigners and 28 Maldivians.
