The total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives had risen to 8530 after 92 more people recovered from the illness in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 92 which brings the total number of recoveries to 8540. With this, the total number of active cases is now 1,315.

The agency also confirmed and additional 67 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives. These include 33 locals and 34 foreigners.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 9,885.

There are 34 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are six foreigners and 28 Maldivians.
