The total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives had risen to 8438 after 48 more people recovered from the illness in the past 24 hours.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 48 which brings the total number of recoveries to 8438. With this, the total number of active cases is now 1,340.
The agency also confirmed and additional 48 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives. These include 28 locals and 20 foreigners.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 9,818.
There are 34 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are six foreigners and 28 Maldivians.
