Four people have been arresed with large quantities of alcohol in two different operations by the Police in Male' City.

According to the Police, the operations took place last Sunday and Tuesday and saw the confiscation of 511 beer cans and 116 alcohol bottles.

They added that during Sunday's operation, three were arrested unloading items near a residential house in Henveiru. These include two 30-year-old Maldivians and a 23-year-old Bangladeshi. Upon searching the pickup, 511 cans of beer were discovered.

The 116 bottles of alcohol were found during the operation on Tuesday, where they stopped a van at the Male' Industrial Area. A 26 year old Maldivian was arrested during the operation.

They are investigating the case further.
