The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives have risen to 9,568 after another 74 people tested positive in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 37 locals have tested positive along with 37 foreign nationals.

The past 24 hours also recorded 74 recoveries as well raising the total number of recovered patients to 8,077. There are 1,452 people still being treatment for COVID-119 in the Maldives.

HPA said that there are 642 people in isolation facilities and 106 people in hospitals.

COVID-19 in the Maldives has seen 33 fatalities so far including 27 locals, five Bangladeshi nationals and a man from Philippines.
