The total number of COVID-19-related deaths in the Maldives has risen to 32 after a Maldivian COVID patient has passed away.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that a 58-year-old woman being treated in ICU at the Hulhumale’ medical facility passed away at 3:55 a.m. last night.
With this most recent COVID-related death, the total number of related deaths this month has risen to four. So far, 26 locals and six foreigners have passed away in the Maldives due to compilations with COVID-19.
The first reported COVID-19 death in the Maldives was that of a 83-year-old woman who passed away on 29 April 2020.
Meanwhile, the total number of cases in the Maldives is currently at 9,052 with 1,960 people in treatment and 7,055 recoveries.
