The total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives had risen to 6,559 after 271 more people recovered from the illness in the past 24 hours.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 271 which brings the total number of recoveries to 6,559. With this, the total number of active cases is now 2,304.
The agency also confirmed and additional 66 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives. These include 50 locals and 16 foreigners.

There are 31 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are six foreigners and 25 Maldivians.
