Maldives has made it to the Forbes “The 100 Safest Countries For COVID-19" on the no. 63 position.

According to the list by the Deep Knowledge Group based on not so much whether a country has been hit hard by COVID-19 but whether there’s political will and social acceptance of quarantine and lock-down measures, the safest country during the current situation is Germany.

The list looks to the national and local governments cooperation and if a nation has good monitoring and detection and a strong medical system. And, how vulnerable a country is to economic dislocation due to COVID-19, plus how well equipped a country is to handle emergencies.

Maldivian neighbors India and Sri Lanka also made the in the positions 80 and 92 respectively.

The Forbes report also declares Somalia, North Korea, South Sudan, Afghanistan and Mali among the most dangerous countries amid the pandemic.
