A one-month-old infant is being treated at the ICU in Covid-10 Management Facility at Laamu Atoll Gan.

L. Gan Regional Hospital's Manager, Ali Nasheed has confirmed the news to "One".

He said that the infant was in home quarantine in Dhaalu Atoll Kudahuvadhoo and that the infant had tested positive for COVID-19 last Monday. They were taken to the COVID-10 Facility in L. Gan for further treatment on Saturday morning, where the infant is now in a stable condition.

In addition to the infant, the mother - who is also positive for COVID-19 - is currently at the L. Gan Facility. However, the mother remains asymptomatic as of now.

Nasheed further added that the infant was at first being treated at home despite testing positive. After symptoms of vomiting persisted, the infant was moved to the facility for further treatment.
