89 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the country to 7,667.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed an additional 89 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives. These include 63 Maldivians, 20 Bangladeshis, 5 Indians, and 1 Sri Lankan.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 7,667.

They added that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 111, which brings the total number of recoveries to 5,036. With this, the total number of active cases is now 2,597.

There are 28 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are five Bangladeshis and 22 Maldivians along with a Phillipines national.
