The total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives had risen to 4,297 after 75 more people recovered from the illness in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed that in the past 24 hours, total new recoveries were at 75 which brings the total number of recoveries to 4,297. With this, the total number of active cases is now 2,588.

The agency also confirmed and additional 133 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives. These include 103 Maldivians, 15 Bangladeshis, 08 Indians, 02 Emirati, 02 British, 02 Sri Lankans and 01 Nepali.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives is now 6,912.

There are 27 COVID-19 deaths in the country. These are five Bangladeshis and 21 Maldivians along with a Phillipines national.
