The total number of COVID-19 recoveries in the Maldives has risen to 4,012 after another 97 people recovers from the illness.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 97 people have recovered in the past 24 hours raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 4,012. There are 2,527 people currently in treatment.
Meanwhile, HPA said that 167 locals have tested positive in the past 24 hours along with 16 Bangladeshi nationals, seven Indian nationals, a Sri Lankan national, a Nepalese national and a Thai national.
Statistics from HPA show 1,398 people in isolation facilities and 166 people in hospitals.
COVID-19 in the Maldives has seen 25 fatalities so far including 20 locals, four Bangladeshi nationals and a man from Philippines.
