The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives has risen to 6,564 after another 194 people tests positive.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 167 locals have tested positive along with 16 Bangladeshi nationals, seven Indian nationals, a Sri Lankan national, a Nepalese national and a Thai national.
Meanwhile, 97 people have recovered in the past 24 hours raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 4,012. There are 2,527 people currently in treatment.
Statistics from HPA show 1,398 people in isolation facilities and 166 people in hospitals.
COVID-19 in the Maldives has seen 25 fatalities so far including 20 locals, four Bangladeshi nationals and a man from Philippines.
