A two-month-old child in home quarantine at Kaafu Atoll Gulhi has tested positive for COVID-19.

Talking to One Online, the Vice President of Gulhi Island Council, Ali Rasheed said that a two-month old child has tested positive on the island.

He said that the Health Positive Agency (HPA) confirmed the results today from the samples tested after 14 days before being released from home quarantine.

Ali Rasheed said that the child has not shown any symptoms of the illness and the child’s parents and the others at the same house where they were all quarantining, tested negative on their samples before being released.

The Community Health Officer at the Gulhi Health Center, Abdulla Inaayath also confirmed that a two-month-old tested positive.
