A four-year-old child has tested positive for COVID-19 in home quarantine at Faafu Atoll Nilandhoo.
Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC) said that the chiled who tested positive in is a four-year-old boy.
Talking to One Online, the President of the Nilandhoo Island Council, Mohamed Jaleel said that the two is the son of a person who tested positive at the island. With five people in home quarantine testing positive on the island, four of them, including the child, all belong to one family.
He said that the child’s test result came in this morning and all COVID-19 patients are in good health with no symptoms of the illness.
Councilman Jaleel said that a request has been made to move the people in home quarantine to a facility following concerns from the people of the island.
