Health Protection Agency (HPA) has closed down 20 businesses after inspecting 146 businesses as part of their inspections to ensure the safety regulations amid the COVID-19 pandemic is being followed.
HPA announced on Twitter that all 146 inspections took place yesterday and the 20 businesses that were closed were all closed down temporarily.
And so, HPA ordered the closing of eight hair salons, seven stores, three café/restaurants and two gyms following their inspection.
Since last week, HPA has been conducting inspections and closing establishments not fitting to the health code regulations.
HPA closed 27 businesses on the first day alone and 50 businesses on the second day.
The businesses and established that are being closed down are granted the permit to reopen after complying with the regulations.
