After another 70 people recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives, the total number of recoveries in the country has risen to 2,498.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, eight locals and three Bangladeshi nationals tested positive for the illness.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 31 Maldivians have tested positive along with 21 Bangladeshi nationals, two Indian nationals and a Sri Lankan national.
HPA said that among those under treatment, 70 people have recovered in the same time period raising the number of total recoveries in the country to 2,498. There are 647 people still in treatment in the Maldives.
Information released by the HPA show that the quarantine facilities are empty but there are 531 people at the isolation facilities.
In the Maldives, 15 people have passed away due to complications with COVID-19 which includes ten Maldivians, four Bangladeshi nationals, a man from Philippines. The deceased include nine elderly Maldivians.
