The Forensic Laboratory of Maldives Police Service has successfully conducted over 10,000 PCR tests to test for COVID-19.

Commissioner of Police, Mohamed Hameedh confirmed in a tweet that 10,000 tests had been conducted so far. He added that on average 1,000 test results are provided by the laboratory on a weekly basis.

In addition to the COVID-19 PCR Tests, about 100 or so tests related to evidence are conducted on a monthly basis.

The Commissioner had praised and thanked all officers who work in the Police lab for their hard work and dedication.
