The number of people tested positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives has risen to 2,913 after 14 more people tested positive for the ill in the past 24 hours.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, ten Maldivians have tested positive along with three Bangladeshi nationals and an Indian national.
HPA said that among those under treatment, one person has recovered in the same time period raising the number of total recoveries in the country to 2,340. There are 543 people still in treatment in the Maldives.
Information released by the HPA show 32 people in quarantine and 459 people at the isolation facilities.
In the Maldives, 15 people have passed away due to complications with COVID-19 which includes ten Maldivians, four Bangladeshi nationals, a man from Philippines. The deceased include nine elderly Maldivians.
