One Online has learnt that Maldives Police Service is still unable to dock at Baa Atoll Bodufinolhu as the expatriate workers who have been holding local workers hostage has been attacking them with stones and metal rods.

Trusted sources have told One Online that a team of about 50 police officers attempted to get on the island but they not successful as rocks and metal were thrown at their launch as they tried to dock.

Since then, police has gone back to Baa Atoll Thulhaadhoo can tried again on a boat which was unsuccessful as well.

The 200 expatriates on Bodufinolhu has taken the 15 Maldivians on the island hostage and are demanding their payment.

Sources have said that they had not been paid for about six months.

A team of police and MNDF are preparing at Male’ City to go to the island.
