After another 69 people recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives, the total number of recoveries in the country has risen to 717.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, eight locals and three Bangladeshi nationals tested positive for the illness.

The number of cases in the country has dropped in the past three days with 12 cases reported on Tuesday, nine on Wednesday and 22 people yesterday.

So far, seven people have died due to COVID-19 in the Maldives; three Bangladeshi nationals and four elderly Maldivians.
