The number of people tested positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives has risen to 1883 with another 11 people confirmed positive in the past 24 hours.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, eight locals and three Bangladeshi nationals tested positive for the illness.
The number of cases in the country has dropped in the past three days with 12 cases reported on Tuesday, nine on Wednesday and 22 people yesterday.
Meanwhile, another 69 people have recovered from COVID-19 raising the total recoveries in the country to 717.
So far, seven people have died due to COVID-19 in the Maldives; three Bangladeshi nationals and four elderly Maldivians.
