A seventh person has been reported to have died due to complication with COVID-19 in the Maldives.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) announced on Twitter that an 89-year-old person at the Hulhule’ Isolation Facility had passed away this morning at 6:20 a.m.
One Online has learned that the deceased is Rugiyya Ali from Kashimaage, Haa Dhaalu Atoll Vaikaradhoo.
The uncle of the deceased told Online that the 89-year-old passed away at the Isolation Facility established at the Hulhule’ Island Hotel (HIH) surrounded by two of her children and one grandchild; all seeking treatment after testing positive for COVID-19.
The previous six COVID-19 related death in the country consisted of three Bangladeshi nationals and three elderly locals.
