Police appeals to wear masks while out on the streets

Maldives Police Service has appealed all to make sure that they wear face masks while going out and about.

Speaking at the joint press conference by the Male’ City Council and the Maldives Police Service, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ismail Naveen said that everyone out on the street must have permits as well.

He said that the permit to go out must be acquired as before at the online portal setup by the police and would require a special permit to travel between islands.

The government has decided to give some ease to the lock down starting from 12 a.m. including allowing three people per household to be out of the house.
