After another 27 people tests positive for COVID-19, the total number of cases in the Maldives have risen to 862.
Heath Protection Agency (HPA) announced on Twitter that 27 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed as of 1 p.m. today. The new 27 cases consist of nine Maldivian and 18 Bangladeshi nationals.
So far 30 people have recovered from the illness in the country while three people have passed away with complications; two Maldivians and a Bangladeshi national, and were confirmed positive for COVID-19 after their death.
