A total of 29 people has recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives.

Speaking at the NEOC press conference, Spokesperson Mohamed Mabrook Abdul Aziz confirmed that so far 16 Maldivians and 13 foreigners have recovered from COVID-19 in the country.

Meanwhile, 41 people were confirmed to have tested positive today raising the total number of cases to 785; 257 Maldivians and 528 foreigners.

Mabrook said that 11,775 people have been tested so far in the Maldives and has 438 samples pending results at the laboratories.

So far, two locals and a foreigner have died from complications related to the illness.
