The total number of cases of COVID-19 in the Maldives has risen to 785.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has said that as of 2 p.m. today, 22 people have tested positive which includes 16 Maldivians along with four Bangladeshi nationals, an Indian national and a Nepalese national which raised the total cases in the country to 766.

However, speaking at the NEOC press conference, Spokesperson Mohamed Mabrook Abdul Aziz said that the total number of cases in the country is 785.

And so, the number of people confirmed to have tested positive today are 41 people.

Mabrook said that another nine people have recovered from the illness as well raising the total recoveries in the Maldives to 29; 16 Maldivians and 13 foreigners.
