Dr. Moosa Hussain has said that the second victim of COVID-19 in the Maldives, the Bangladeshi national who passed away today, has severe bleeding on the brain.
A 33 year old man passed away from complications that arose after a fit. The patient was taken to IGMH this morning. Under general regulations he was tested for COVID-19 with the results coming back positive.
Speaking during a press conference at the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC), Dr Moosa said that doctors had tried to save the patient in anyway possible but due to the extensive internal bleeding it was not possible.
So far 557 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives with just 18 of them recovering.
