After six more people tests positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives, the total number of case in the country has risen to 557.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that the people who tested positive today are five Maldivians and a Bangladeshi national.
And so, the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Maldives has risen to 557. Although most of the confirmed cases are of Bangladeshi national with 283 cases while 196 of the cases are of Maldivians.
Among the people who tested positive for the illness in the Maldives are 52 Indians, 11 Italians, five Nepalese, three Sri Lankans and three Pakistani nationals along with four people from other nationalities.
So far, 18 people have recovered from the illness in the Maldives while an 83-year-old woman had passed away from the illness.
