Ali Waheed: Some ministers who had direct contact are also in isolation

Tourism Minister, Ali Waheed has said that cabinet ministers who have had direct contact with COVID-19 patients are also currently in isolation.

Speaking during a press conference a the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC) Minister Waheed said that several ministers who had come into direct contact with COVID-19 patients are now in home isolation. He however did not reveal who those minsters were or the total number of ministers.

He further noted that the President had arranged his cabinet and government in such a way that if one falls short of filling their responsibilities, another can step in immediately to share their work load.

The Minister further added that this is the most crucial phase in combating the virus and assured that everyone is working together to bring the Maldives towards a recovery from COVID-19.
