Maldives Meteorological Center has said that the weather across the country is expected to get worse in the coming days.

Talking to One Online, the Assistant Meteorologist at the MET Office, Abdulla Haafiz said that the weather in the country is going to get more severe. And so, Haafiz said that heavy rain and thunder storms are expected at a large portion of the country.

The MET Office said that although winds may not be strong but winds are expected to pick up between 35-40 mph along with rough seas during the showers.

He said that the change in weather is because this is the time weather the two seasons overlap.
